Blog Mission
Each year, the Common Reading instigates discussions on important issues that shape the ways each of us sees the world, helping to form the community of learners that constitutes Elon University.
This year, we have added this blog so that we can invite you to participate in discussions of ideas relating to global climate change and its impact on the ways we make sense of our world. There is no ideological bent to the blog. We only ask that you voice your opinions in a tasteful manner, respecting the diversity of peoples and beliefs that unite within this university.
Hopefully, this blog will enable us to discover new points of view and develop ways of reasoning with complicated global and individual issues. Faculty and staff will contribute, as well, so come back often to help us explore and learn together.

We encourage diverse discussion and debate about the issues you find most important.
We will not tolerate any harassing, derogatory, or inappropriate comments. Any such comments will be removed.
Please no solicitations or advertisements of any kind. You may link to relevant web sites, but do so sparingly.
